Dh and I really love our bedding set. I mean adore it. I made paintings to match it, and we want it for years and years.

That said, a dog and a cat sleep on it every night, so it gets washed every Sunday. I am worried it will wear out sooner than we'd like.

It is on crazy sale at Macy's right now. Buy a backup? or is that just silly?

If you can afford it, I would get a back up.  Our dogs get up on our bed once in a blue moon, and even though it doesn't happen often I can tell that they cause more wear and tear than normal.  If you love the set that much, and would be upset if it was trashed in a year or two, you may as well get another one before they discontinue it.

I am a big believer in buying doubles when I fall in love with items: jeans, shoes, tops, etc. I don't see why the same wouldn't apply to bedding.

In fact, I am in love with our sheets and now I am heading over to see if Target still carries them.

I love it so much, but I know in a few years, it will not look as pretty. It's on closeout at Macys, and they have no more duvets, but htey have the matching sheets for 25 so I'll get that. Better than nothing.

The people at the store should call other stores until they find you one.  I work retail and we do this all the time.  Don't give up!

Love it, Hippo!! Maybe I shouldn't get a backup so that I can get another gorgeous one in a few years.

The colros and everything are just perfect though I want mine forever.
