1st Trimester

2nd babies are so different.

I had to log on to the bump to see how far along I am! I knew the day last time!

  • Very true!  I'm actually less anxious too.

  • I feel the same way. I haven't touched a pregnancy book either, and I can barely remember if I'm in the 1st or 2nd tri... It's amazing how different it is. I don't ask questions at my appointments either, so they are even quicker than before! :)

  • So glad to hear others are this way too. I was beginning to wonder if I'm a terrible mother.
  • Even though this is my second, I don't feel pregnant.  I agree, last time, I knew every detail!

  • Yes I totally agree.  I'm posting a response so that I can see my ticker because I don't know how far along I am.  Smile

  • According to your siggy you're still nursing #1, is that true? I'm still nursing DD and I don't know if she'll ever wean!

Sorry to but in, but I'm still nursing DS. I've started weaning him this week and it has been hell. My supply already seems to be dropping and he gets extremely frustrated that there's no milk. Some things that seem to help are extra cuddling after he wakes up in the morning and after his nap and having DH put him to bed. If I try, he screams and claws at my chest the whole time. I feel awful about the whole thing, but figure he has to wean sooner or later.
  • I actually was more worried and anxious with my second than with my first.  Maybe that is because I did IVF to get pregnant the second time and had some bleeding early on.  This pregnancy is more similar to my first.  I know how far along I am and like the last two times I'm keeping a pregnancy journal.  I will admit that I'm a more relaxed mother with my second.  I'm not as concerned about all the little things that first time moms agonize over.

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

  • So glad I'm not the only one, since I've been feeling guilty about the same thing! I haven't even taken a single belly photo yet and I had one every week starting at 5 weeks with DD.  Sigh.
