Great "Sleep" video... Dr. Sears method...

I didn't even KNOW he had a method.  But this video seems to have some great techniques!

    Yes good tips. There are two different Dr. Sears, the father and the son. The father really recommends co-sleeping, but the son appears to see the value in learning to sleep independently.

    I have the Dr. Sears book and it is good but talks a lot about making the transition from co-sleeping to sleeping independently.

    Personally, I got a lot more out of Pantley's No Cry Sleep Solution since we have never co-slept. 

    There are a lot of different sleep training methods that don't include CIO.  Babycenter also has a video on general sleep training techniques that you can use if you are or are not CIO.
