Registering help

Hi y'all! I'm having the first baby in our family in over 20 years.  I've been researching strollers and carseats and feel more confused then ever!  Does anyone have a suggestion?  I read a few posts about them, but I have never heard of the strollers listed.  I registered at  a BRU, but only put a few items on my list because I got overwhelmed at all the choices!   I would like to get a stroller that can adapt from an infant to a toddler.  I've looked at the stroller frames and the jogging stroller, but don't know which one would be better.  I've heard to get one with one tire in front.  I don't want a big bulky stroller thats hard to fold up and put in the trunk.  I just have no idea about the car seat or stroller!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Ditto on the baby bargains- it will help you narrow things down a lot.  

I have a Chicco keyfit 30 car seat, a maclarren easy traveler stroller frame (like the snap and go), a Phil and Ted jogging stroller, and a chicco umbrella stroller for when he outgrows the car seat stroller.  I have been happy with all of them.
