So I knew my body would change after having a baby. My once flat stomach is now flabby, my formerly pristine butt is now riddled with hemmeroids that force me to use wipes every time I poop. It burns when I pee from where I was stitiched up. I am 20 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. My breasts which used to be perky little C cups are now enormous, often leaking, and beginning to sag.
While I am not "okay" with these things, I expected them, but what happened today just sent me to a new stratosphere of horrifying post partum bodily changes.
I went to go plug the monitor back in and I had to pee, but figured I could hold off for a second until I finished what I was doing when suddenly I felt the pee begin to trickle out. I couldn't beleive what was happening, so I ran to the bathroom as fast as I could with the pee coming out and no way to stop it. Literally as hard as I tried to stop it, I couldn't.
Umm... wtf? I have been toilet trained for roughly 25 years and I have NEVER, EVER had an issue like that. I am so disguisted/embarassed/horrified by this. ![]()
I want some shred of normalcy back already! ![]()
Re: Reached a new low this morning
Baby #2: 12 cycles, 1 failed FET, natural miracle but m/c at 9 weeks then another natural miracle that stuck! 9-30-09
TTC #3 - 4 cycles - no BFP yet!
I know what you mean. There was a few times in that first week home from the hospital that I peed on myself getting out of the bed in the morning. My bed is really high and I had hemmroids and tons of stitches, so getting up to pee was kinda hard for me. The pads I was wearing at the time were almost like diapers they held so much! That's so disgusting to say and I've never told anyone IRL that.
My body has deffinately changed too. I'm back to my PP weight but my hips and butt are bigger and don't seem to be going back to how they were. I'm proud of my body though. The changes are well worth it!
