I'm nuts about turning off every single light in our house when it's not in use. I'm so bad that my DH often accuses me of turning off lights when he's still in the room. The Christmas tree is no exception to this rule.
I need to get a timer for my outdoor lights--half of the time I don't even remember to turn them on.
My husband is a fire-fighter and is overly paranoid about leaving things plugged in. ?He unplugs all our indoor Christmas lights even if he leaves the house during the day. ?I, on the other hand, love leaving the lights on

I'm the exact same way. I admit that I have turned the light off on him on several occasions.

We have a remote for the tree in the living room, so that makes it easy to turn off. We also have a small tree in our bedroom that we have to unplug. I really need to go get another remote for that one. I hate getting out of bed to turn it off. Our outside lights, when they get put up, have a night time timer, so they come on automatically when it starts to get dark and then stay on for a few hours. I love modern conveniences. : )

DH made a comment to me this morning about walking around in the dark. I can't help it. After years of my dad yelling at us for leaving all the lights on, I don't turn a light on unless I need it, and turn them off as I pass by them.
We turn all of the lights off inside and out, except for a small artificial tree we have in our room. We use that one as a night light.
We are sick-we have two artificial trees and one real one every year.
Re: Clicky Poll **EDITED**
I like it on - it's so nice to walk into the living room first thing in the morning and have it all lit up. Also, the plug is hard to get to.
I'm sorry Mother Earth. I'm bad.
this. I kinda have a fear of it happening too.

Same here. We don't want a fire.

Thanks! And yeah, we just can't be bothered! It's sad really.
This for both our indoor tree and outdoor lights.
Same here. It's nice to come home from work and have everything on.
This! An excellent idea for those of you who like to have it on when youget home and/or get up!
