For anybody who had spotting...

Did your OBGYN have you come into the office early?  I just started some light spotting.  I am about 6 weeks along.  My 1st appointment is not scheduled for another 2 weeks.  I left a message for the nurse today but I haven't heard back yet.  Is it possible they will have me come in before 8 weeks?  I am just freaking out and I don't know what to expect.

They'll probably give you a guideline, like if it soaks a pad in a few hours to come in or something like that, and I'm sure that they'll tell you that it's normal and common in the 1st trimester.  If it's just a little bit, and mostly brown, not red I wouldn't worry too much.  But, if it's worrying you, I'd say it'll be better for you if you keep trying to get ahold of the Doc to get checked out.  Better to make sure everything is ok, right?

If it's just a little bit of spotting, I doubt they would have you come it early.  Light spotting is quite common, I had some a little after my BFP.  But then again, every doc is different.

I had an ultrasound at 8w2d and then had some spotting 2 days later.  My doc had me come in right away and get another u/s to make sure everything was okay.  (It was- thank god!)

My doc didn't this past weekend, but it was like two drops of red and then super light tan spotting with no cramps.

I had the same exact thing this weekend.  Doc said as long as it doesn't continue I should be fine.  And all is well today!

I had a bit of spotting yesterday. I called my dr. this morning and they said to call back if it's pink/red and accompanied by cramps, or if it continues, but that some spotting is normal. Luckily it stopped. My first u/s is on Friday.

I had some brownish spotting a couple of times within the past couple of weeks. A girl at work told me its because im dehydrated. Most likely they will have you come in early if you are also cramping. Good luck, keep us  updated.
