Kind of a silly swing question

Yes, 1st timer here:-)  I was wondering once your LO falls asleep, do you turn the swing off?  Down a few levels?  Also, if you use the sound component, so you shut that off?  I know it is probably trial and error, but I imagine going through a ton of batteries if I leave it on the whole time...

Re: Kind of a silly swing question

  • we keep the swing at the speed it was when he fell asleep. Our music turns off after the song's over, but he seems to notice when that happens. So we have to keep turning that on too. The only thing we don't use is the mobile part. Our batteries used to die really fast but lately our batteries have lasted a while.

  • Depends on your LO. Some kids wake up the second the swing stops, others don't. DS hated his swing so I can't even tell you what we did with him.

  • DS definitely notices any changes & will wake up.  I have run the swing for 1/2 the night before.
  • after she is in a pretty deep sleep, i turn the swing off.
