mmmmm, no. Except that I think we are being overly judgmental of the ttc'er who has a ski trip planned.
I didn't propose for a few reasons, mostly because I don't have the rings and we were up very late with some of the guests who stayed. SOMEONE got a bit tipsy so the timing was never right.

*giggles*
Did you actually buy rings or are you still trying to figure that out?
The right time will come... DH had a big plan for when he was going to ask me. My whole family knew. We were going to florida and he was going to ask me there.
INSTEAD... we woke up the morning after he picked up the ring and he couldn't wait anymore.... The time felt right to him.
We rolled out of bed and he brought me to see the progress of the new house, we jumped out of the car and he asked me in the drive way. The ring was tied to Max's collar.
We have not chosen rings. We didn't like any of the ones we saw, and we saw a lot. I don't want to press too hard, but she is also hinting that she wants to get married in the winter ... this winter ... as in January. Women are impossible.
Although..... I have friends who did a sneak attack wedding on their parents. They went to meet one set at the house for a "birthday lunch" and asked to invite the other set of parents. Then they pulled out wedding invites that said, "You are invitied to our wedding IN 15 MINUTES!"

Totally adorable and fun.
I love this idea!

We are thinking of doing a surprise wedding. Invite people to a party, then surprise them all and get married there. Super-small, avoids lots of drama, not expensive, and (hopefully) everyone who is super-important would be there.
That is my dream wedding. The question of how many people fit in my house was answered this past weekend. Thirty or fewer would be ideal. One question is whether my chef/girlfriend can let go of the control and allow me to hire a caterer.
