Babies on the Brain

Dumb Q

Sooo while my MIL was visiting over Thanksgiving, she told me that after you have a baby, if you wear a bra to bed, your boobies will stay perky.

Is this true? I'm just curious. It can't be.

Re: Dumb Q

  • I don't.  My boobs are fine.  I also didn't have a chance to breast feed, though.

  • I don't think it works like that.  I did wear a sleep bra (just for comfort) and haven't noticed any extra sagging at 7.5 months pp.
  • Someone also told me that when I was 12 as a general rule of perky boobs for life.

  • I have been wearing a bra to bed every single night since I started BFing to keep my breast pads in since I still leak at night.  My boobs are sad, sad boobs.
  • I highly doubt that will make a difference. I think it has more to do with the size of your boobs pre and post pg, and whether or not you bfed. wearing a bra to bed is just plain uncomfortable. Just find a good bra to wear during the day so they look good.

  • I think it's more based on your genes.
  • I don't think any bra can undo the effects of your milk coming in, especially if you have larger breasts to begin with.

    I agree with this.

I was just curious because she was so serious.  She claims her sister did the same and it's like magic.

If there was one, I bet everyone would know about it and the inventor would be rich.

  • A friend once told me that ' It doesn't matter what you do. Once you have a baby and breastfeed, your tiits will look like fried eggs forever.'
