Advice for babies with Colic

Hi Ladies,

I know I haven't been a frequent poster and certainly haven't been on here much lately but I was told some info that I thought I should pass along.

Now my baby did not have colic but my cousins baby did and they were at their wits end. They had tried everything including the drops you can get and nothing seemed to help all that much. They we pretty much taking advice from anyone and one lady had told them about taking their baby to the chiropractor. Apparently the chiropractor does some sort of gentle massage on the babies back and after a few sessions the colic was gone.

They said the expression on the babies face while getting this done was one of pure relief and joy.

i also had a friend do chiro with her colic child and she said it was awesome.  infant massage may work.  skin to skin sleeping or holding seems to be a good short term solution too.

I just finish reading the Happiest baby on the block and they had some good advice for babies with Colic. They 5 S's. Swaddle, side/stomach laying, shhing, swinging and sucking. I'm sorry your cousin is having to deal with that.

We did everything....the s's, drops, different formulas, different bottles, everything!  The only option left was the Chiro and I was kinda scared about that.  Then I read about probiotics.  Search probiotics and colic.  It worked wonders for us!  Our daughter is bottle fed and I put it in her bottle once a day.  Within in three days there was a difference, within a month a whole new baby.  She went from crying 6 hours a night to falling asleep on her own.  The other thing we did use consistently was the miracle blanket to swaddle.  Nights are much better thanks to probiotics for infants.  Make sure you get a good brand like Natren.  They guarentee the live culture production through the expiration date.  They will ship from their website directly.  We never did the Chiro, this worked for us.  Good luck.
