we looked at an apartment on weds. and  filled out the rental application
(25.00). we had to go meet one of the landlords that night to pay security and he said since the office wasnt open that week  due to thanksgiving,  we could go in on monday, sign the lease, pay 1st months rent and get the keys. But then we thought  and he didnt really go through everything such as a credit check and so on and so forth. so does  it sound like we actually have the apartment or is there a possibility of NOT getting it even though he said that?   I'm seriously paranoid that were not going to get it and we really NEED it because the place we live in now is too small and could be condemned. i dont want to lose my son.

Are you sure they do a credit check and is yours or your SO credit really bad?  DH and I got denied an apartment once b/c of his credit then approved the next week by someplace else b/c they only really cared about rental history and my credit was good enough.  It really just depends on the complex.  GL to you.  Before we bought our house we had some stressful moves too.  I feel for you.
