My shower was over a month ago, and I haven't done my thank you cards yet. I'm surely going to burn in etiquette hell. I just can't make myself write them out. Someone twist my arm & make me do them.
Oh, you're bad, lol! Just start doing them and it won't be that bad. Do half tonight, half in the morning, and mail them tomorrow afternoon. You will be SO relieved!
Do you want your family and friends to think you're an ungrateful B? Do them!
It will feel nice once you've gotten them done. One less thing to think about! Maybe set yourself a goal and do like 5 a day. That won't take any time at all and you'll be done soon.

As always, she is right. I'm still a little miffed at the thank yous I haven't gotten for gifts we've sent.

Technically if you were given the gift in person and thanked the giver when it was opened you do not have to send an additional thank you in a card.
This is according to Emily Post.

uuuuugh. but i don't want to.
DH has been working all day and I've been editing his stuff. This is basically torture. So I sent him a gchat that said:
Me: on this night of torture, i think i'll do my thank you notes.
DH: God will grant you a beatifull child for all this hard work. beautifull and smart
LOL. Silly DH.
I suck at stuff like this. Do a little bit at a time, but they need to go out before your Christmas cards go out.
1. Print out all the address and return labels, then stick them all on and put a card sideways in each envelope. Now you know how many you need to do.
2. Write 5 or 10 at a time. It'll take a couple of days, but you won't have to give yourself writers cramp doing them all.
3. Get the stamps and put them on at home, not in the post office.
4. Dump them in the nearest mail box.
