My period is 6 days late, but 4 pregnancy test have come back negative. I've had some pregnancy symptoms. I don't know what to think about this!! Has anybody else encountered this? It's so frustrating.

Hey, Sonrisa   Yep.  Chances are you ovulated later than you thought.  Sometimes cycles can be weird for no apparent reason!  Test every week or so until your period comes or you get a positive test.  If you go sixty days total from the start of your last period, then call your doc and ask what to do.

It's possible that you ovulated late.  Any number of things (like stress, certain medications, etc.) can make you ovulate later than normal.  HTH!

This is going back all the way to high school but I sometimes have the problem of over thinking if I'm getting my period or not.  I'll get all in a huff and take six tests and all will come back negative.  I'd let it go a few days and oh look the monthly gift.  It could be totally in your head. At least that's what I've expieranced before.

Like the PPs said you may have O'd later than normal.  If your cycle goes over 60 days, call your doctor.  If you aren't pregnant I would suggest charting next cycle to help pinpoint when you O. Check out fertilityfriend.com.  GL!

I am going through this right now, AF just decided to skip a monthly visit to me.  No idea why but it happens.  That's how she keeps us on our toes I suppose.

If you do chart and know that you O'd, wait a few days and test again or, call your Dr.  If you don't chart, wait for AF.

I agree with the above... I have times where if I think about it too much I don't get my period when I'm suppossed too.. it comes when I am least expecting it or am not thinking about it. So yes, it CAN be mentally in your head so yeah.. don't be mean.

Are you normally regular? 

For the first two months i thought i read all the signs for ovulation perfectly, and that was about day 12/14...  but it wasn't until this month (using OPK's) that i realise i'm actually ovulating a week later than I thought...

So possibly just a case of you ovulated late?

The symptoms are most likely in your head. If the HPT says negative, you are not currently pregnant.

Like someone suggested, if you're trying to get pregnant, I would recommend picking up a copy of TCOYF. As it turns out, we were all grossly misled in high school.
