So it happened LO got sick :(

I can't believe it happened! I have tried everything to avoid DS from getting sick but he still did.

Wed he started getting a rash all over and was really irritable. He had 10 poopy diapers... all normal... but it was not normal for him to poop that much, he is usually constipated. Around 7pm his rash had spread from his head to toes and his temp was 99.2. I called the pedi after hours and was told to take him down to Children's hospital 45 min away, eventhough there are 2 other hospitals within 20 min of our house. I was really nervous. We were seen right away. It turns out he has a viral rash, pretty common in babies that get a virus, and they couldn't do anything for him unless he had a fever of 100.4 or higher, pretty frustrating.

So we ended up missing Thanksgiving this year, which is highly depressing since I had GD and have been pretty much looking forward to this holiday for the past 5 months But thankfully it looks like he is on the mend now which is all that matters. And we got his first sickness out of the way, which I have been paranoid about since his birth. Hope all your LO's stay healthy this season!
