Reposting question about Christmas present

I posted this the other day, but it was late at night so I thought I would post again a little earlier for a better response.

My little sister recently found out she was pregnant and I wanted to do a pregnancy survival kit for her for Christmas. I was going to do antacids, hemmoroid cream, stretch mark lotion and things of that nature. Any suggestions for what I can include? Also, I can't think of anything to put in there for her husband except for a book. Any suggestions for him would be welcome as well. Thanks for your help!

  • If you wanted to be really nice, you could do a gift certificate for a 3D ultrasound.

  • I would suggest the stereotypical craving foods like chocolate and pickles. My husband thinks that you should include beer for her husband.

  • For your sister I would include: Prep H, witch hazel pads, several things of tums, I would highly suggest the jenny mcCarthy book....very funny!

For her DH: A daddy book, some ear plugs *for when the snoring starts* that sort of thing

  • The matching parents to be shirts from 2chix are fun :)
  • Crackers and chocolate.. and for hubby... a bottle of lotion for the 6 weeks after delivery (I'm mean like this lol)
  • a bella band

  • Belly bars, and Preggie pops, Expecta Omega 3 vitamins. Girlfriend's guide to pregnancy.

  • I would also include some pampering items. Maybe a foot soak or a face mask. I just found out I was preg a few weeks ago and my foot bath has become my best friend.
    Turah's Avon
  • There is a cute Dad to be DVD out that would good for her hubby, its called Being Dad.

For her, if she's not that far along yet, I'd put in the motion sickness bands (originally for travel) for her if she has morning sickness. Also, as an OP poster put, how about a shirt that says "Due in XXX" or something like that.  Also, there is a cute book called The Belly Book on amazon where she can journal about being preggers and post baby pictures. Also, go to pickysticky.com and get her belly stickers that say how far along she is. Oh, and you could get some snacks like Belly Bars - they sell them at target and would look cute in your package.

  • A big refillable water bottle. They make cool ones with nice graphics on them. My water bottle was my best friend while I was pregnant. Toss in some drink mix packets too for variety.
