DH: "We missed it??"

Earlier this morning, I wrote that I've never had O pain, and to my knowledge, I haven't...but I might have today.  After my first post today, I was getting ready for church with DH, and felt like someone was pinching me, low and on the right side.  I guess it's either ovulation pain or gas.  It went away within the hour, and I haven't felt anything since. 

Yesterday, we got a smiley on the OPK.  Just for kicks and giggles, I took the last test in the box just a few minutes ago.  And it came up negative.  So, that means my surge is over.  I told DH before taking the test that we'd still BD tonight yet.  When I got the negative test, he said, "So does that mean we missed it?" 

We BD'ed Friday morning, Saturday night, and plus/minus today.  Should we tonight or presume that I've ovulated and if I was going to get KU, what's done is done already?

I say do it! You may have already covered it since you BD'd yesterday but eggs are good for 24 hrs and you never ever know!! GL!

What would it hurt? I say BD when in doubt. You don't risk anything by doing it, but you risk the window if you don't.

The surge happens 24-72 hours before the egg is released, so you definitely want to BD tonight!

You crack me up! I was wondering the same thing since we got a negative OPK today as well. Looks like one more night of FWP for each of us!

I always thought 24-36 hours before ovulation for surge.... but the CBE OPK insert says 12-36.  I got a positive last night, but it had been about 30 hours since I tested on Friday.  With the possible O pain this morning, I'm thinking I got the tail end of the surge...but anyway, we're definitely BD-ing tonight.  He's sleeping on my left side right now, so he should be all primed for later!!  :-)

I would BD tonight and tomorrow. It will never hurt you to BD the next day....it's an insurance policy.

@ I_am_DCA - I doubt there will be BD-ing tomorrow.  We'll be driving all day from noon 'til whenever we roll into our driveway.  I'll be lucky if DH is able to get the luggage in the house tomorrow night, let alone find the energy to BD.  So tonight will be it this cycle...and we'll cross our fingers and wait to test.
