I loved it, it is easy to use, and the only time it accidentally went off, is when I set it and when I left I apparently didnt pull the front door all the way closed and the wind blew it open and set the alarm off. My cellphone rang a few blocks away and I had to turn around and meet the police at my house.
I like it and it seems easy to use. I've set the alarm off a few times and they always call right away & ask if I need help or whatever. They haven't charged anything extra for the accidents. The only thing I don't like is that you can only hear the alarm inside the house. We live in the country and no one would hear the alarm if it were going off. My hope is that it would just scare someone away.
It also comes with a remote that pretty much works anywhere in the house. The remote has a panic button, plus you can turn off and on the alarm with it. You can also set it so that it chimes when a door is opened which I think will be nice once my LO is walking.
We have it. It's nice because we have a remote we can keep with us to set it from upstairs at night and to set it off if we see someone suspicious when getting home. There is an away alarm that has motion detection and a stay alarm that just goes off if a door is opened. We have never accidently set it off to the point where they had to call us.
We got ADT after our house was broken in to. We are really happy with it. The remote feature is great, you can set extra pin numbers that only work at certain times (ex., if you have a cleaning person who comes every other Friday you can give them a different code than the master that will only work on the Fridays they are there). Ours was accidently set off once, they called and it wasn't a big deal.
After having had the house broken into and the feeling that went along with that, I will never live without an alarm system again.
Re: If you have ADT can you answer a few questions
I don't have ADT but I used to work for a security company and ADT was one of the systems we used.
They were way better than a lot of the other company's we dealt with. There weren't many false alarms and they have a really good response time.
I had it in my last house

Yes I recommend it.
