Sinus Congestion, what can I take while BFing?!?!

Is it ok to take sudafed? I mean, online it says it's ok, but that it can dry up your milk supply? Has anyone experienced this? I have a bad sinus infection and am on antibiotics, but am still really congested, any advice?

    If your supply is established, which it should be at 2-something months, then a few times of taking it shouldn't affect you. I've been taking Claratin daily for hives since having DD and that hasn't affected my supply. You could try that but I don't know how much it would really help for a bad cold..? I've also taken Zyrtec but that does seem to affect my supply.

    Benedryl should be ok, my dr let me take it and he's usually pretty conservative with meds

     

    Just be careful, it could make you really drowsy. I take it before bed just in case.
