I started with a sore throat a few days ago and now i'm totally sick, coughing and runny nose and I'm deathly afraid of my baby getting sick. He's so little that I'm afraid knowing what to do. How old were your LO's when they got their first cold and how did you deal with it? What did you do to prevent him from catching it? DH is taking him most of the time now and when I hold him or feed him I wear a face mask and try to not breath by him. Thanks, any tips would be appreciated!

Re: how do you prevent your LO catching your cold? :(
I just got over a cold, I just tried not to breathe on him or kiss him and I breastfed like crazy.
He did get sick a little but it was nothing as bad as what I had. He was congested for 1 day and then started getting better.
Just keep feeding him and he should be good!
Do you BF?
This will help as even if LO does catch a cold he will get antibodies to fight it now and in the future via your milk.
