Do you feel like you have a bionic arm with that splint. When I had mine I felt like I should carry a gun. It seemed appropriate.

I hate taking pain killers. They always make me feel so out of it and I get sick to my stomach.

That sucks that it is your right hand.

 

Exactly.  DH got home from work on Friday, and I was sitting stoned watching a Criminal Minds marathon, and could barely react to him.  Not that I had anything super-exciting going on, but I didn't want to be a vegetable either!

Well that's not terrible - hopefully by new years you'll be back in action.  I think I might have freaked if they had just doped me!!  Did you handle the anesthesia ok?

Well that's not terrible - hopefully by new years you'll be back in action.  I think I might have freaked if they had just doped me!!  Did you handle the anesthesia ok?

Hehe, yeah, a kid I work with did something similar - cut a tendon in his thumb - and he was conscious for that surgery.  They just gave him a blocker to stop sensation in his hand.  No problem with anesthesia, but weeped when they put in the IV.  I am such a baby.

It is 73 here today. Want to trade? We had a couple of cold days recently (down in the 60s) and I loved it!

I would love to be in the 70s!  Those days are done for me (and Gym, who is 2 hours to me east) until probably May though.  Is your fam still thinking to head this way in the spring?
