couple questions

my DS is about 5 weeks old and I have a couple questions. How do you play with your LO?  I try to talk to him, sing to him, do tummy time but he doesn't seem interested quite yet.

Also, when did your LO start to really smile a lot?  I only get them now and then and I can't tell yet if it is just gas bubbles lol

    My boy is almost 6 weeks.  We do the same as you.  He's not really interested, but he tolerates me :)

    And I can totally tell when he gets bored and just wants to be left alone.  That's when I put him in the swing or bouncy seat and he just babbles away to his frog or the sheep!  Probably telling them what a quack his Mama is!

    He just started smiling... Thanksgiving morning.  They are still few & far between, but everyday I get a few more than the day before.  He smiles more at the windows (LOVES windows) than me.

    My baby is also 5 weeks old. She smiles here and there. I know it's a real smile if it is in response to my own smiling or talking to her.

    As for play I don't really do anything concrete. Just talk and sing to her and I will shake a rattle for her. Mostly she wants to stare at faces or ceiling fans.
