weight loss poll-diets

So hows everyone doing with lossing weight? My baby is 11 days old and I am down from 256 to 229... i had lots of swelling towards the end... I haven't started any diet yet... But i have about 45 pounds to go..  so my question is What diets are you doing, how much weight have you lost, and  how many days has it been? just curious

  • I weighed 191 the day I delivered and weighed 161 at 6 days PP. I haven't been on the scale since then though. I doubt I've lost anymore.

    ETA: I'm trying to stay away from junk food and BFing has helped tremendously!

  • I gained 50.  Lost 30 pounds by 2 weeks pp, 45 pounds by 5 weeks pp, and now I'm at my pre-preg weight, but I'd like to lose 10 more pounds.

  • Gained 16 pounds during pregnancy. Lost it all by 3 days PP. I'm currently 3 weeks PP, and I'm about 12 pounds below my pre-pg weight. I would like to lose, oh, about 50 more pounds. I'm trying to eat healthy, and I'm going to start exercising again soon. BFing definitely helps because I tend to crave more healthy foods when I BF, and my metabolism seems better.
  • First pregnancy: Gained 35, lost about 15 by the time I was home from hospital, lost all but 15 by 6 week check-up (I'm underweight normally). Back to PP weight by 12 weeks. Did Weight Watchers, worked out (like I normally do--the work out part anyway).

    Second pregnancy: Gained 40 pounds, baby was 2# heavier. Have only lost about 13 # at day 7, but I'm still pretty swollen/bloated from my C/S. I'll be doing WW again as soon as things calm down, and I'll start working out as soon as I get the clear from my doctor.

  • I gained 32 and 7 weeks PP have lost 32.... I now want to lose the weight I was carrying pre-preg.

  • i was 185 at time of delivery, and am now down to 151 9 days PP, i havent done anything to help out with weight loss though - i need to! i do EP though which probably helps :)
  • I weighed 184 the day I went to the hospital and I'm down to 159 (DS is 3 weeks and 4 days old).  I was very athletic pre pregnancy, and during pg ate a lot more junk than I ever did before so I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot of work to get back down to 137.  22 lbs. to go - and I'm pretty sure I won't get back to pre preg weight until I start running again.  If I get down to 150 before I exercise I'll be ecstatic.  I notice pp I'm eating a lot less portion wise, and not craving junk anymore so I think that's helping.
