TTC After a Loss

Facebook blocking

I wish there was a way to block images and comments about pg or babies on FB.  I HATE reading, "Jane Doe is grateful for her beautiful healthy baby boy."  Gag/Sob/Gag

Re: Facebook blocking

  • You can hide specific people.  If they make one obnoxious status update, chances are they'll make more.  When you're feeling up to it, you can go to their page and check to see if they're still doing it and decide whether to unhide or keep the setting as is.

  • I agree.  Last night one of DH's female friends who is pg had a status of "Only 35 more days".   We were due to the same day!Crying

  • Oh bkjc, I'm so sorry, that is REALLY tough to see.

Here's a confession: When I was on GP (and sort of BOTB), I never really understood it when people blocked pregnant FB friends. Now I get it. I didn't get it b/c it only took us 4 months to get a BFP, so nothing about the process had been difficult/painful for us (YET!!).  My little babe hasn't even been gone 24 hours and I've blocked two people. Embarrassed

  • Do you get any of the FB advertisements on the side I started "x"ing them and reporting them as inappropriate with a little explanation...they stopped the baby ones for like a good week.
