My bff, who is 6 weeks behind where I should be, is about 9 months pregnant.  We had a little party at my house and she was here.  She is all belly.  She's very short and petite and I swear that kid is as big as she is by now.  Needless to say, she's extremely uncomfortable.  I have to admit, I kinda liked it.  I feel like a bad friend to take delight in her misery.  It's okay, though, there was some pity mixed in with the delight.  It's nice to be on the other side of pity for once.  Although it's been much easier to be around her since my due date came and went.  It feels like we're getting our old relationship back.  Yay!

It's tough to be 100% happy for pg friends 100% of the time.  I'm glad things are getting back to normal for you.  Hopefully you'll be the uncomfortable one in 2010!

I think your feelings are perfectly normal.  I have a few friends who are miserable right now too - either very pg or not getting any sleep at all w/their newborns.  It's kind of nice to sip a glass of wine and smirk a little, but the jealousy still stings.  It's also been a lot easier for me since my EDD passed.  Glad things are getting back to normal for you two.
