My grandpa died at 7:30pm.
My mom called and I broke down in the middle of Kohl's.
I've never heard my dad cry like that before.
Guess we'll be flying to Chicago this week.
My heart hurts.

I am very sorry for your loss. I hope that you can spend as much time with your family as possible.
I hope that it was a peaceful passing.
I was going to go home this weekend and my parents told me not to worry about it and to save my money. Mom told me they knew he was doing worse last Wednesday but didn't tell me so I would stay down here! I wanted to come home at Thanksgiving to see him because I was afraid it would be my last chance. I didn't take it and now I didn't even get to say goodbye.

I'm so sorry, hun. My granddaddy passed away last December 1, and it was one of the hardest things. It's never easy to lose someone, but when its a close family member, it's just that much harder.
