DH and I started talking about what kind of BC I will want to use. I went off the pill years ago because I hated the affects it had on me. And my SIL had horrible luck with a IUD so that is out. I am not sure what is the best now?
What are you using?
Do you like it?
Any bad side affects?
Re: Poll: What kind of BC are you using?
IUD
I like it because I'm realy bad about taking pills and it lasts 5 years.
The only thing I don't like is that I've been having bleeding for about 3 weeks. Not heavy but not light either.
I went back onto the Patch - what I was on for 8+ years before having DS. Hated it - it was horrible for me. The surge of hormones made me super moody and I knew it.
I called my OB and he put me on Aviane - Generic Alesse (sp?). I've only been on it for a few weeks but so far so good.
We want more kiddos just not b2b again
i've tried numerous pills & the depo shot. i honestly don't trust an IUD...something about a piece of plastic stopping sperm doesnt let me sleep better at night.
i love/hate the shot. i love its affectiveness of me not getting pregnant & that i get one every 3 months. injection takes just a few moments and i'm done. i hate the weight gain part. don't get me wrong, you are still able to take the weight off, but it's like an annoying 5-10 pounds that just stick. i talked to the doc & he explained it that depo makes your fat more "sticky" to where it hangs out longer vs w/o the shot.
i agreed to it so that my PP bleeding would stop, and now that it's been a few months, i'm going to start the pill again. doc gave me yaz so we'll see how that goes!

Nuva Ring.
I was on it for 2 years and LOVED it. but I haven't been on birth control for 2 years, so who knows.
Right now, nothing, but I am only 3 weeks PP, so we aren't doing anything that requires BC yet. I am planning to go back on the pill, likely the low dose pill while I'm BFing. I took it after DD was born, and while I preferred Orth Tri Cyclen, the micronor worked okay in terms of controling my hormones (I have PCOS). No bad side affects.
