Babies: 0 - 3 Months

What I've learned 3 months in...

I thought as my final post on 0-3 (Crying) I would share what I've learned these last 3 months. Feel free to share your own if you're moving up soon!

I've learned that:

-sleep deprevation is never easy but it does get easier. As someone who used to sleep 9 or 10 hours in a row, it only took about 2 weeks to adjust to my new "schedule" of up every 3-4 hours.

-no matter how stressed out I am, when my son smiles at me, I can forget about everything for awhile.

-my relationships would change. Whether for the better- like my parents,  who I appreciate even more that I'm a parent, or for the worse- like one of my friends, things change.

-sometimes being a mother is the hardest thing I've ever done and sometimes it is the easiest and most natural thing in the world.

-what they say about labor is true. All modesty goes out the window, you don't care if you poop, you don't care if you're naked in front of a million people, etc....

-breastfeeding is a tough job but it gets easier all the time

-Netflix would become my best friend in the early weeks of 24/7 nursing (and subsequently never leaving the couch), the Bump would keep my eyes open when exhausted and my pregnancy cravings for chocolate would not go away after the baby came out

-a pregnant belly with stretchmarks is infinitely more attractive than a flabby belly full of stretchmarks

-it's possible to lose 100% of your sex drive after having a baby

-it's possible to love your baby when they are born but not truly adore them for a good four to six weeks

-time will go faster now that I've got a child than I ever imagined

Ah, that's it I guess....I've learned a lot and can't wait to see you all on 3-6 soon! Trust me, it will go so quickly!
