Changing formula?

Ok.  I've tried everything.  Gas drops, gripe water, changing bottles...

Right now we're on Enfamil Premium.  I'm going to the store when DH gets home and getting Gentlease and hoping it helps with our fussiness/gas issues.

When I get the formula, do I just switch or should I gradually mix it in with the regular Enfamil?

Re: Changing formula?

  • We switched to the generic version of Gentlease when DS was a month old.  I did it cold turkey and he did fine.

  • My LO couldn't stomach Enfamil at ALL. We switched to Good Start Soy & he's doing so much better. We switched cold turkey too. The difference was night and day. I have a new baby.
  • We just switched cold turkey from regular similac to similac sensitive.  It made a difference immediately.
  • We switched from Enfamil Premium to Gentlease too.  We went cold turky, and I think it might have been a little better to mix or go gradual for just a day or two because he has a sensitive stomach.  It does seem to help him, but in the evening he still gets kinda fussy (gassy), but much better than before.  We were trying Enfamil AR for a little while, but it was too thick for him.
