Football game with LO?

At what age would you bring your LO to a football game???  Just curious...we have season tickets and I just wanted to see when the next time I would be able to go to a game would be.  I know I can have someone babysit...but being a first time mom I just can't seem to leave DS that long! Embarrassed TIA!

Re: Football game with LO?

  • DH and I took DD when she was a little over a month old. We alternated holding her in the stands while the other ran around with DS.
  • Loading the player...
  • I think babies are very "portable" at this age. Much easier than a toddler!  If you can wear your baby that would make it even easier!
  • It's up to you and when you feel that you are able to handle a baby at a football game.  Some things that you have to think about...the weather, where you are sitting, is so going to help you out, access to food for the baby, will you be able to change lo, etc.

These are great things to think about thanks!  Most of those things would be fine with us...except for the changing LO....hmm...

so..for those that have gone to a game with LO...how did you change them? I don't think they have the changing tables in the bathrooms....

We did not have this issue as we changed DD right before we went and the weather was nice so I was able to do it outside if needed.

Guess it depends on your venue?

  • I took my LO to a college football game when he was about 6 weeks old. It was a beautiful day and I wore him in my Moby wrap. He loved it and slept the entire game! We left about with about 5 minutes left in the last quarter when he got fussy so he could nurse back at our tailgating spot.

It was much easier than anticipated! Good luck!!

  • I would just be worried about being around all the people, especially during flu season. DS is almost 3 months and I probably would not bring him to a football game.

Not at a game, but I have (out of necessity) used the handicapped stall and wiped down the toilet seat so I could sit and change her on my lap.

  • We go to a ton of the Buffalo Bills games in fact we are going tomorrow. The weaher around here is always crappy so we probably won't take Trent until hes older. Truthfully (although I know leaving LO can be hard) its agreat afternoon date for DH and I, and we are learning how important that time together is!
