How long did you wait??

I had my DD on the 24th, I'm going nuts I need to go out and get some things for the house and LO. Everyone is telling to take it easy and I have but i need/want to go get things done. how long did you stay home for? How long did you wait to take LO out? I'm not thinking of taking her with me DH would stay with her.

I had a c/s and was out and about by myself and driving (yes, a no-no, but oh well, lol) by day 5. There is no way I could stay home for longer than that.

i stayed in for about a week, but that is because I didnt need to go anywhere (my mom and dh did all the errands). If you feel good I would say it is fine, but dont do any heavy lifting or stretching.

The first time I left the house was for LO's 1st pedi appt. at 3 days. I was going crazy by that point, but, my dr. told me no driving for a week so I didn't actually take DS out by myself until then. I wasn't too concerned about taking DS out, to be honest, since I always kept him covered up in public.

Our baby was a few days old when we went on a Walmart run. We just kept her in the carseat and no one was allowed to touch her. If I needed to touch her while at the store I used my hand sanitizer first.

I went out with my mother 1 week pp... I was in a lot of pain and the trip was really difficult for me. We went out again on Day 8 for the Bris, which again was pretty difficult. Week 2 I took LO to the mall with my mother and we have done little trips here and there since.

We were in for a week, though the first 4 days were in the hospital because of my c-section

I had DD on the 27th of October, got out of the hospital on the 28th, drove her to her first doc's appt on the 29th, had to go back to the hospital for their "New Mothers"/breast feeding clinic appointment on the 30th... and it seems like we've been going out anywhere and everywhere since.... shopping, appointments, etc... feels like too much going out some days.
