Saline?

Does anyone clean LO's nose with saline? I spoke to pedi and she told me to clean lo's nose with saline 2x a day. Her regular pedi never said anything to me about this so just wondering if anyone elses has.

The only time I've used saline in DD's nose was when she had a cold and was really congested (it helped to loosen things up.)  I have never heard of just using it as a daily thing, that doesn't sound right ...

same here, I actually used it this morning and it worked like a charm

my pedi told me the same thing, or to get a humidifier -so we got the humidifier instead. i'm not ready to start giving him drops in his nose.

-his breathing cleared up within a few days of keeping the humidifier on.

with DS we only used saline when he was very stuffed up - so that it cleared up the "problem" -- we do use a humidifer (still, and he's 13 mos) nightly in the winter and fall months
