Arching back during feedings and crying

My daughter is on meds for acid reflux but lately she's been arching her back towards the end of the feeding and when she's crying. She also has been straightening her legs while crying and they are really stiff. Does this mean anything I should be concerned about?

  • do you burp her during feedings? my guys get like that if they have a air bubble stuck. other then that i dont know.
  • DD used to do this when she was younger and it was gas.  She had a hard time burping, so we gave her Mylicon and it helped.  Now that she burps better she doesn't do it anymore.

Yep, dr told us to burp her after every ounce because of the reflux. I just gave her some gas drops so we'll see if that helps....thanks!

  • Those are the reflux signs that DD has.  She's on meds too.  I was told that the meds don't make the reflux go completely away, but are more for to lessen the acidity of what comes up.  I stop feeding and burp her when I notice the reflux signs.  This break usually helps.
