stupid lady in target!

I was already feeling sensitive about my jello belly because my winter coats won't zip and are too small.  I went to old navy and discovered I needed a large which they didn't have in stock which made me angry too, since I wore a small jacket from there before.

We went to target and this lady walked by and goes..SL=Stupid Lady

SL-"oh congratulations, do you know if it's a boy or a girl yet!"

Me-trying not to freak out.."uhm...it's a 3 week old girl"

SL-"ohhh...sorry..." Then she went on to to tell me that her niece was the size I am now when she was 9 months pregnant.  And that her kid ended up dying at 8 months...

I had to walk away, I left Dh to talk to her..Could not handle it.  I completely lost it and started balling in Target.

Of course Dh was like dude you just had a kid 3 weeks ago, calm down.  But that was the extent of his consoling.

I don't think i'm THAT big at all.  I definetly do not look far enough along to know the sex of my jello belly baby.

    ahh poor thing she is definitly a Looney anyway. Who says that to you and also who sould say that about her niece. Oh good for your niece for being small and her kid dying. Really?! I think I would have given her the weirdest look and walked away. Sorry about your not fun shopping trip.

    Sorry you had to go through that! A clerk asked me when I was do when I was buying a bunch of baby stuff at BRU.... I was standing directly beside my mom who was holding my 4 day old son. Seriously woman? Open your eyes!

    I'm sorry, I have been fearing that same question/comment.  I still have a belly as well and I haven't even been brave enough to go buy some jeans I desperately need.

    This is why people should NEVER say anything no matter how sure they are that the person is PG!  Oh yeah, and that's happened to me TWICE and yet I lost 28 lbs and I only gained 23 during the pregnancy!  Stupid jelly belly......

    People can be so rude. I agree a simple congrats wuld have been fine when you told her your baby was 3 wks old.
