Constipated... HELP!

DD has been constipated for the last week.  She went 6 days without pooping.  We talked to her pedi (family friend) after a couple days and he said to put Karo syrup in her bottle which we have been doing.  It wasn't working so we gave her a suppository on the 6th day.  After 2 hours and nothing we put the thermometer up her butt and she finally went.

That was on Tuesday.  She hasn't gone since then.  I have still been putting Karo syrup in her bottle, and sometimes a little water, but nothing.  She has gas and I can tell she's trying to go, but she just fusses and cries.  She is usually such a happy baby and it breaks my heart to see her upset.

We have her 2 month appt. tomorrow morning so I'm going to talk to the doc more, but he said he wasn't too concernd as long as she is eating normally and having wet diapers.  But after she gets her shots I'm sure she will be more fussy and uncomfortable.

Anyone have any advice or things that worked for them? TIA...

My advice is to stop putting water (even a little) in her bottle.  I was just reading that water can be VERY constipating to a baby.

I have heard of people adding a bit of prune juice to the bottle, but not sure how much, ask the pedi!  GL

My BFF's baby goes like every 3 days.  He pedi said to put a little apple juice in her bottle.
