Completely random question that popped into my head yesterday while talking about baby names... is Allie's name just Allie, or is it short for something?

It is just Allie.  Allie Brooke. We didn't want to name her something that could be shortened or made into a strange NN.  Little did we know there was a song called "Allie Op" or something like that.

Thank you.  A lot of ppl seem to like it.  It is starting to become popular around us. I know of at least 3 girls named Allie(different spellings) since she was born.

I don't know if we would ever use it because that's what my SIL goes by... but you never know.  I think it's a beautiful name.
