I have had a PC HP to be exact since I was 13 yrs old. And I have always hated something about PC's. Maybe the fact that everyone I have had has crashed at least 3 times. and the notebook I had before this one completely just quit working, slowly it died. Started out with the PDA reader not working at all no matter how many times I removed the program and re-downloaded it. Now this one the mouse buttons have completely quit working. And the repair guy said he has no idea why it stopped working and has no clue what to do to fix it. I can still tap the little mouse pad to click on things but the button is dead. I have been wanting a Mac book for I dont even know how long. Ive played around on the Mac book a little but never really done much.

I just want to know if you girls who use Macs switched to them from a PC, is it eady to make the switch. And do you like the mac better than PC?

I switched to a Mac after being a lifelong PC user and I love it.  I still have to use a PC daily but enjoy my Mac more.  It is not a hard switch to make - the only annoying thing is the cut/copy/past on a PC is ctrl+X, etc whereas on a Mac it's command+X, so I tend to get mixed up when I switch from one machine to the other...but you'll get used to it fast.

I've always been a mac user, and I love it.  DH has a pc, and it's harder for me to adjust to his computer when I use it.  I think macs are pretty user friendly, but it could be just because I've pretty much always used one.  Try it, though...I think you'll like it!

I have always had a mac at home but a PC at work I LOVE my mac I find the PC way more confusing to operate.  My friends who have switch to macs all say that there is an adjustment period but now they love them.

Thanks girls. Now I just have to decide which one I need the regular mac book or mac book pro. I have no idea which one I should go with, because I use my notebook for school and just to mess around on the internet.

Something else to look into -- I got a refurbished Mac from the Apple Store online. They post refurbished products often in the morning (but you have to pay attention because they go QUICKLY). I have a great Mac and got it for $750.
