I want Henry to like my mom more than MIL.  MIL is nice, but she drives me nuts because she has no common sense.  I just want him to be closer to my mom when he gets older.

That sounds just like my MIL! I feel the same way about my kids. Right now my baby cries whenever MIL holds him so we are on the right track!

Same here. My MIL is selfish and intrusive and overbearing, and I wish that she lived farther away. She gets to see DS every week, and my parents only see him once a month or less
