TTC After a Loss

Poll: Am I overreacting?

The MIL is driving me crazy!  Seriously I think, actually I know, she is my person for slap day.  Let's be honest, she is my person for the entire week!  I'm just so annoyed with everything that comes out of her mouth.  Even yesterday when I was trying get ready to leave for the hospital she kept asking questions, questions I didn't even have answers to or that I just didn't want to think about, and I kept saying "MIL, I need to get ready, Dr. L wants me up there ASAP, talk to H".  Yet she kept asking questions, even while I was brushing my teeth.

So this morning I woke up to find the socks she wore all day yesterday on my coffee table!!!   Really, who does that???  Am I being crazy/hormonal or do I seriously need to have H take her home a day earlier because I feel I'm at my breaking point with her.

  • Sorry, nasty socks don't belong on a table. THAT'S WHERE EVERYONE EATS! ((HUGS)) I hope that DH can get her to back off a bit. Right now you're all on edge. Some relaxation time (away from her) could do you some good hon.

  • Frankly, I'm amazed that she's still here when you went to the hospital and are going to have a miscarriage.  I mean what screams "time to go" more than that?
  • I don't think you overreacted.  You are going through too much, now isn't the time to be entertaining.  I honestly think you should send her packing...in a very loving way, of course.

ETA: It isn't about the socks.  It's about being preoccupied with your miscarriage and health while having to cater to this woman.

  • I think you are over reacting about the socks.  But, I think she needs to go a day early anyways since she is driving you bonkers.  I'd say its better to have her leave because you "arent feeling well from the shot" over that crazy B left her socks on the table.  That way her feelings are hurt less.  The unfortunate part is she is your MIL and you have to keep contact with her and maybe see her for other holidays.

Good luck, I hope she gets the hint and asks to leave early.
