TTC After a Loss

TTC with a houseguest... (vent)

Dh's friend is down and out so he offered J to come stay with us since he lost his house and his dad doesn't have the space for him at his apartment. The guy was trying to find other places as to not put us out but he called Wed. night to say he was coming today and staying with us. Fantabulous! Now we get to TTC with another adult in the house. For an unknown length of time.

IF DH had a normal work schedule it wouldn't be so bad But he works 6am-10am then back at 2pm-5pm then Wed-Fri he's back at work at 7:30pm-8:30am. So the end of the week FWP always has to be between 5-7pm and well it's not like we can pretend to be doing something else. Plus I think DH knowing his buddy is in the house will probably keep him somewhat distracted thinking he can hear or something.

Would it be rude to tell him to find a job that he's out of the house between 5-7 every night?  lol  Okay so really I'm kidding about that part, but I'm kinda hoping that he does so that atleast I'll get some alone time with Hubbs, because i know my life is now going to become them sitting playing PS3 when they're both at the house. UGH why did I say this was okay??? OOOOH right when I agreed to this I was KU and just trying to be nice.

  • Ugh that sucks...  I would just make sure your "house guest" is clear on the rules before you let him move in.  (boundaries etc)..  And just make sure that DH knows that fwp will still happen!  :)

    That sucks...  Im sorry girl!

  • You'll find a way to make FWP happen. I've had a houseguest like that, and Jeremy couldn't care less if he heard anything. (I was the one scared of making any noise) But I agree with cowgirl - definitely set rules. Esp about cleaning, eating your food, dishes, having visitors, etc.

DH just gets embarassed so easily I'm hoping that he doesn't get spooked by J being in the house. Maybe I'll text him when I know he's leaving work and remind him that FWP will still go on even with J there and just see what he says. LOL I can see him blushing while reading...lol

Most of that is easily taken care of. He's lived 3hours away his whole life and then moved to NC for 3yrs so I doubt anyone will ever be over unless it's a mutual friend of him and DH but then they would have driven 3 hours so we'd know they were coming, the food thing shouldn't be a big deal although he's a BIG GUY because DH and I are doing the Herbalife diet and really have no food except chicken and veggies in the house. (Plus he said he's going to give us money for food and/or buy his own when he learns where the store is..lol) I've met the guy twice and both times we were at his old house and it was clean so I'm hoping that he is still a neat person.

  • You could always ask J to run an errand for you between 5 and 7 pm like pick up dry cleaning or get milk and eggs at the store or call in a to go order and have him pick it up...
