Like the Shakespeare character, which I think comes out like vi-uh-la. I like both this name and Violet at lot. If they're not familiar with the name, I think people will try to go with how it's spelled, so starting with a "vee" syllable isn't very likely.

That is my grandma and great grandma's names, as well as a lady at our church.  They pronounce it Vie-OH-Luh.  Vee-OH-luh is a string instrument.
