what i did last night (NIFR)

I went out for some drinks with a friend of mine from work.  She ended up meeting a bunch of her friends and her sister tehre etc....well we ended up at 3 different bars and i met a guy there, nice we talked, talked about me and my dh and everything so its not like i was hiding that iwas married.  Well we went to anthoer bar (the third) and this one was like a dance club. Said guy follows because the friend he was with is kinda hanging on my girlfriend (she's been divorced 3 years and is just breaking up with her boyfriend).  So we talk, ane ended up dancing together etc.  I know i technically didn't do anything REALLY wrong i let him kiss my cheek at the end of the night nothing more...but i do feel bad for dancing with him etc.....i told dh about it and he seems perfectly finne....says he trusts me and trusts that i didn't overstep boundaries etc...but i know i'd be PISSED if he was out dancing with girls....waht do you think?  It was just so nice having the attention ...i did invite dh out...but he wasn't interested...not big into going out etc

was i wrong?  there's not much i can do about it now..and i know it is human nature to want to feel interesting and wanted...*sigh* bugt i did have fun ahha

I think that, as much as we WANT to be the end-all be-all for our partners, it is impossible.  Studies show that flirting is actually psychologically healthy and helps us maintain positive body images and be more sexually available to our partners.  As long as you observed proper restraint and boundaries, I do not think that you did anything wrong. 

(And as much as it makes me cringe to think of my DH flirting with someone else, it is fair and reasonable to expect him to have the same freedom of interaction with people of the opposite sex.)

I don't think you did anything wrong, especially if you've told your DH about it all and he is fine with it.  There's nothing wrong with dancing (unless you were dancing really dirty), and a kiss on the cheek seems pretty innocent to me.

Thanks girls....its good to know that i'm not alone out there   hahah my friend said she wouldn't want to tell her dh if it were reversed because he might worry, but i would think it'd be MORE worrisome if there were something he WASN'T tellinhg me ya know

I can see both sides of the story.  It seems innocent enough, especially if you told DH...but that also implies a feeling of guilt.  If I were out with friends and a married friend was dancing and flirty with a guy and then he kissed her on the cheek...I would probably think that was innapropriate behavior.

yeah i do feel guilty, dh doesn't seem to think i was bad though.  It seems to be missed opinions on this topic.  It is hard when you're out with all single friends, they're all dancing with guys and you're left alone...so a guy comes up...starts talking for quite awhile ( we even talked about my husband and what he does etc) so we danced , because we were at a dance club and yeah...that was pretty much it.  I mean, can't really just sit against the wall and be antisocial...that wouldnt' be fun and i dunno....i also don't want to NOT go out with my friends
