shoulder pain after c-section?

I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor. I've heard of deferred pain where you get shoulder or chest pain post c-section. But I didn't get mine until nearly 72 hours later, and it hurts like HELL. My shoulder is killing me.

Anyone else experience anything like this and what was the deal? I know part of it is that my Percocet wore off while I was asleep.

I had it. It was horrible. It is probably gas pains. I know it sounds crazy but once my intestines started working again it went away.

It could be gas building up and causing the pain, I had them really bad!  Hope they go away soon for you!

I had severe, severe, pain after my csection.  It went up my neck, was in my chest, in my shoulders.  I couldn't move.  It is supposedly a gas issue.  Try and keep moving around as much as possible while you wait for the dr.  I had to get checked for a pulmonary embolism because of my pain and I had trouble breathing for two or three weeks after, but I ended up fine..  Like I said just try to move around and keep up with your pain meds, and see what the dr. says.

Definitely gas pains - I had some of those!
