Strollers....which one are you getting?

What stroller are all of you getting, or already have? My mom asked to start looking into what I want because she wants to get it for us. Just curious what everyone else decided on.

Re: Strollers....which one are you getting?

  • We decided on the Baby Jogger City Classic -- it's relatively lightweight, and has a good suspension system, which is good for what we want to use the stroller for (sidewalks, going around the university campus where DH works, etc.).  You can also get a car seat adapter, so we're going to use it as our "travel system" as well, with our infant car seat.

DH's parents bought it for us last month, and we've had so much fun playing with it!

  • We got the Baby Jogger City Classic too! I love how easy it is to fold. Plus it goes on multiple terrains like the previous poster said. Cute colors too.
  • We are getting the Baby Jogger, but holding out for the new one that is coming out next month.  I think it is called the select or something like that.  It is a single stroller, however can be made into a double in the future.  My SIL recommended it to us, as we loves her Baby Jogger, but hates that she is on her 3rd stroller

  • I have a snap-n-go for the car for the infant, a Maclaren Triumph for when the kid is older (or when DH goes & my 2yr old wants to ride) & a Mountain Buggy Urban double w/ carrycot for jogging, walking around the neighborhood.  I don't ever put the Mountain Buggy in my car--it's always used from home.  I live w/ in walking distance to the Zoo, huge Park, Nature & Science Museum, shops, restaurants, Farmer's Market, DD#1's school, church, etc...so it makes sense that our nice stroller is that heavy double one.

  • We got the Quinny Zapp with the maxi cosi carseat attachment. It's pretty much the ONLY stroller/car seat that will work for our no car/ urban lifestyle. Big stroller systems just aren't an option for us.

Folds up super small and is so cool looking. We love it.

  • we got a Graco travel system (little hoot line from target), and are getting a Valco Baby tri-mode jogging stroller as i'm an avid runner and cant wait to take LO out for runs w/ me.

we were going to just get the valco baby with the car seat adapter, but after talking to several friends who have kids i decided the convenience of the travel system was awesome, and i dont want to run w/ baby for at least a few months anyway so we'll get the jogger later... (it seemed too much of a hassel to push around urban areas IMO)

  • between these 3 we should be covered:

    BOB revolution with carseat adapter

chicco keyfit 30 infant seat (to fit in the BOB)

some sort of maclaren for when the baby is a bit older

  • We have the Easy Walker Sky and a Snap and Go.  I think we will eventually get a nice umbrella stroller later on, too.  (Maclaren, Chicco, or Baby Jogger City Micro).

I wouldn't recommend getting a travel system.  From everything I've heard from friends who are moms, they're just bulky- their main convenience is not getting the baby out of the infant seat.... which you can do with a snap and go.

  • We got the Graco Ipo Deluxe. I like that it's basically an umbrella stroller but it reclines completely for a newborn.

  • Chicco cortina to go with my Keyfit 30 carrier and then I am looking at the Chicco liteway or Maclaren Triumph as a lite weight one.
