To all of those dealing with the crib recall . . .

We replaced our crib a few weeks ago because the drop down side would no longer tighten. We have no plans for a 3rd child, but my 2 yo loves his crib. On the recomedation of fellow Bumpies, I bought an Ikea crib without a drop down side. I was skepticle that a $150 crib would be sturdy, but the crib is solid! I wish we would have gotten one to begin with. I highly recomend an Ikea crib.

Ditto!  We used our Ikea crib for 8 years (as a toddler bed too) and were always very happy with it.  It was a sturdy little thing for a very reasonable price.

I'll bet IKEA is about to get some major business with the recall of drop-side cribs.  Thanks for the recommendation.

We don't have an Ikea around here, but I have this from Walmart and it is VERY solid/sturdy.
