I want to start researching to find an RE in my area but I have no idea what to look for or where to start. Can you give me some help please?

Re: Help me find an RE

  • I'm not sure how many REs are in your area or if you have infertility insurance coverage, but when I was looking for an RE, I started with my insurance company.  I have HealthPartners, and I did a search online for RE's within a 60 mile radius of my home that were covered, and had a choice of about 6 of them, 4 of which were at one clinic.  I asked around on my local bump board to see if anyone had gone to an RE in the area, and I also took into account, which one would be easier for traffic, distance from work, etc.  Hope this is some help...I would definitely check with your insurance company, that may help you narrow things down.

  • YOu can go to this website to see the list of all of the RE's in your state.  You can look up success rates as well.

I agree with PP.  It is best to start with your insurance company.  Even the initial visits and baseline testing can be costly.  I started with my insurance company too, found a list of doctors using the ins. website, and went from there.
