Thanks so much for your love and support for CB during this difficult time. They feel the love and prayers from everyone. I hope she doesnt mind me sharing my view of the service yesterday -- it was very nice.
You should never have to sit 3 rows behind you best friend with an urn of her sons ashes just in front of her. She should never have to feel that pain. The words spoken were so true, that she will get through this, and that Weston and her need to turn to their vows, their sacred covenant to each other, and as parents they will walk this path together with Wyatt looking down on them, happy ? that they have this love for each other and for him. And that they are always Wyatt?s Mom and Dad.
The words weren?t the most touching part of the service. Allison and Weston were surrounded by family. Beside Allison was her mom, behind her, her Nanny, behind Weston ? his Mom. In front of them ? Wyatt. Completely surrounded by love. I watched as Weston pulled Allison in ? holding her tight into him, it was as if they were one in grief. He held her, never letting go. I watched as they pressed their heads together in prayer. I watched as they sprinkled holy water on their sons ashes?.holding on to one another as they did. And I watched as they picked up the urn, with Wyatt and they each lovingly kissed him, as they carried him to place him in the tabernacle.
Its often the things that are unspoken that speak the loudest and Im so glad I got to be a part of the service, and witness such moving moments between a mother and father, between a family.
Re: CB update
I'm glad that she has such a great friend as you, who is there to support her.
I just took a look at her blog and it is just so unfair.....I do not understand why this happens to anyone. My heart truly goes out to her, and the many others who have experienced this unimaginable pain.
