Just saw your post below. The incubation period for H1N1 is 1 week from the time the fever breaks, (safer if you est. 24 hrs, after the fever breaks). So if you were around that child on Monday and they were fever free on Tuesday, you could still get it a week from Tuesday. They say you have to be fever free for 24 hours to be non contagious.

When my step daughter had it we didn't have any contact with anyone for 2 weeks. The week she was sick PLUS an extra week just to make sure we were safe due to the long incubation period. Good luck! I really hope you will be ok!
