DD (2.5 yo) notices and remembers everything. i had some wrapping paper in a closet downstairs awhile ago and moved it upstairs to my closet so that she wouldnt notice it because i planned to use it as Santa paper. at the time i guess it was sort of hidden by clothes but i just noticed that it is pretty visible on a shelf in my closet which DD occasionally plays in. she's never commented on it, but i'm overthinking things, wondering if she'll notice that its the same paper she saw in my closet. would you buy new paper? obviously i'll use it all eventually but it seems silly to buy new right now when i have plenty...
Re: overthinking santa wrapping paper?
Christmas 2011
way overthinking.
At 2, she has no concept that santa may not exist. Even if she mentions it, you can just tell her that Santa must have used the wrapping paper in yoru closet.
When I was growing up, Santa didn't wrap presents, they were just displayed in front of the tree. That way my parents didn't have to deal with these issues! I intend to maintain the same tradition.
