Parenting after a Loss

anyone have a prelit christmas tree??

If so what do you do when the lights go out? Do you have to get a whole new one? DH and I want to buy a new tree and are thinking about a 9-10ft prelit tree, I hate to waste the $ if I am just going to have to get a new one when the lights go out.

  • We have one and it is the same as if the lights go out on a strand of lights - you replace the bulb. We've had it for three years and have never had a problem. hope this helps.

  • we have one too and I LOVE it! so nice not to have to string the lights and looks better too. I had my last one for like 7 years and never had a light go out on it, this one I've had for 3 years and no issues yet either. I figure even if I have to buy a new tree every 5-10 years it's still cheaper than buying a real one every year Stick out tongue Do you have a Garden Ridge near you? You can usually get them like 40 or 50% off there and they have the really nice ones that look real and if one light goes out on the string, the others all stay lit. I think we paid like $150 for our 7' tree.
  • We're going to hit Garden Ridge and get one of those too!
  • We just bought one this year.  Ours says it stays lit even if one light goes out.

  • For the most part they stay lit when one goes out and you just change the bulb if it goes out! Joann Fabrics usually has a good deal on them on black friday if you're planning on shopping that day
